Infrastructure is both the foundation and system upon which life and business exist and thrive in the City of South Gate. It is imperative that there is a constant effort to hold off the effects of time and attrition upon this critical element. Without a strong infrastructure, there is a questionable ability to move the City forward.
The South Gate Public Works Department is implementing a vigorous Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to maintain, beautify, repair, expand and modernize the infrastructure of the City. The various projects focus on goals such as reducing environmental impacts, improving water quality, addressing safety concerns and providing the best quality of life to the residents and business owners of South Gate.
