The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles will modify the traffic signal at the intersection of Tweedy Blvd and Alameda St. The intersection improvements will enhance safety and security for all residents. The traffic signal modification work will include the removal of existing traffic signal poles, conduit and fiber, installation of new traffic signal poles, traffic signal cabinet, traffic lights, traffic loops, and cameras. The City of South Gate, City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering and Los Angeles County Public Works are working together in an effort aimed at allowing for an overall safer environment for the community.
Construction activities will start Monday July 16, 2018 with an estimated time of completion of early September. Work will be conducted from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Under special circumstances weekend work will be scheduled.
