City Awarded $4.1 Million Grant to Renovate Hollydale Community Park

The City of South Gate was awarded a $4.1 million dollar grant via the California Department of Parks and Recreation.  Funding provided by this grant will be utilized to completely renovate the 2.2 acres at Hollydale Community Park.  Key features of the newly renovated park will include a new community center, sports court, picnic shelters, outdoor movie screen, open artificial turf area, and a modernized playground.  In addition to these key features a newly constructed parking area will also be available.  These funding awards are extremely beneficial for our community, South Gate will now have an additional updated outdoor public space for our residents on the eastside of town to call home and create lasting memories.  Please take a look at the Hollydale Community Park Concept Plan for a more detailed description and image of what your future park will encompass.
