Hollydale Area Access Improvements Project

The City received a grant to improve bike access and pedestrian safety in the Hollydale area, with a goal of improving neighborhood connectivity to existing and future transit projects. The project is located within the Hollydale neighborhood (south of Gardendale Street, north of Century Boulevard, east of the Los Angeles River and west of Paramount Boulevard). Consistent with the City’s Bike Transportation Plan, planned improvements include eight Class III bicycle routes, three Class II bicycle lanes, two Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons and one high-visibility crosswalk. Design is expected to begin in August 2024 after a consultant is secured.
