Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project

The City owns and operates a sanitary sewer system comprised of approximately 120 miles of gravity sewer lines.  Previous studies have identified sewer segments requiring rehabilitation system.  On June 27, 2023, the City Council awarded a contract to evaluate and design sewer system improvements on a priority basis.  A contractor has produced videos of select sewer segments using special cameras which are inserted into the sewer system at manholes. These videos are being utilized to assess the condition of these sewers and to develop recommended methods to rehabilitate sewer segments as part of the design effort.  Design of sewer improvements is scheduled for completion by September 2024.
