Food Insecurity Program

The South Gate Food Insecurity Program offers eligible, South Gate households with food assistance via grocery deliveries from a local grocer. The program works with Northgate Gonzalez Market to fulfill preset lists of goods. Orders will be picked up and delivered to households once a month.
Requirements:
- City of South Gate Residents
- Household is COVID-19 Impacted in at least one of the following categories:
- Live in a qualified census tract (see application) OR
- Household income does not exceed program limits (see application) OR
- Household member receives at least one of the following federal benefits TANF, SNAP, Free-and Reduced- Price Lunch (NSLP), School Breakfast Programs (SBP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Head Start or Early Head Start, WIC, Section 8 Vouchers, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), and/or Pell Grants
